The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to initiate the registration process for 2,502 residential flats as part of its Vishram Nagar Housing Scheme, situated in Kabir Nagar, Devpur Para, starting in June. These flats are categorized into EWS (economically weaker section), LIG (low income group), and MMIG (middle-middle income group) classifications.
LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar held a review meeting with engineering and planning officials on Monday, instructing that all civil, electrical, and infrastructural tasks be finalized by the end of May to adhere to the planned schedule. In this new phase of Vishram Nagar, construction is underway for 1,832 EWS units (30–32 sqm), 214 LIG units (approximately 45 sqm), and 456 MMIG flats (around 55 sqm).
The LDA has stated that each residential cluster will be equipped with essential services such as internal roads, drainage, water supply, electricity, and waste management systems. Furthermore, provisions have been made for community parks, an open-air gym, and limited commercial facilities to cater to daily requirements, along with designated parking and common areas. Kumar emphasized that quality checks are being performed at every stage of construction to guarantee structural integrity and longevity.
