The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has recalled the e-tender for the construction of the Sector 53 housing scheme.
The e-tender process for the construction of 372 houses in this housing scheme was started on May 31, but now it has been withdrawn.
A CHB official said, “Some changes have to be made in the tender document, so this process has been stopped for the time being.”
The project is yet to get the approval of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority and Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee. The launch of the scheme has been marred with delays for several years now.
The scheme could not be launched in 2018 after a demand survey revealed that there were not many takers for it because of the high cost of dwelling units.
