Atlas Copco India launches new range of TCX and TCA chillers

Atlas Copco – a leader in compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools and assembly systems, has launched the new range of TCX and TCA Process Cooling Chillers.

The TCX series is a compact, all-in-one water chiller with an air-cooled condenser and an integrated hydro module. It is the first process cooling chiller range in India. The TCX chillers are specially designed for cooling water (or a mixture of water and glycol) for a wide range of industrial processes, including Food and beverage, Machine cooling, Medical & Pharmaceutical, Plastics, Printing, etc.

Anil Dave, Business Line Manager -Oil free Air Division, Atlas Copco India said, By offering these new products, we are providing customers with an excellent opportunity to finish their efficiency package with this new line of industrial chillers. The engineering staff at Atlas Copco has years of experience designing and computing sophisticated energy-saving machinery. We can confidently state that the advantages of employing an integrated free-cooling TCA55-215 chiller can deliver up to 40% savings of total power consumption for a five-year life-cycle cost based on estimates and prepared for various climate zones.”

The Elektronikon Mk5S and Smartlink controller are built into Atlas Copco’s new TCX4-90A series. Stainless steel is used to manufacture the evaporator, tank, and pump housing. These chillers consist of standard safety components and are built for simple maintenance, making the equipment reliable and increasing productivity. The TCA chiller’s parts enable various applications and use in various industrial fields.

A shell’n’tube evaporator can be used with a variety of processes in closed and open hydraulic circuits to obtain the maximum level of reliability. A built-in hydro circuit with an atmospheric buffer tank, one or two (work/stand-by) pumps, and a variety of working pressures (1, 3, 5 bar) can be added to any arrangement. The list of relevant industries includes, but is not limited to, mechanical engineering, all forms of metalworking, food and beverage production, pharmaceuticals, cement production, chemistry and petrochemistry, the oil and gas industry, cooling of data centres and communication hubs, and all forms of plastic production.

The water chillers in the Atlas Copco TCA55-215 series are plug-and-play hybrids. Their unique features include a free-cooling portion and innovative adiabatic intake pre-cooling. Besides that, the range of cooling power is between 55 to 228 kW. It is dependable and strong and has proven scroll compressors, air-cooled microchannel condensers, and an integrated hydro module. This makes installation and maintenance simple, affordable, and safe for your daily operations.
