The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) demolished 12 construction sites located in illegal colonies within the Gudamba and Kakori regions on Tuesday, affecting a total area of approximately 43.75 acres.
This operation was executed by enforcement teams from Zones 5 and 3, following the directives of LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar. According to officials, the Zone 5 enforcement team dismantled various structures, including boundary walls and site offices, at four illegal plots in Kapasi village of Gudamba.
These sites, which span nearly 12.5 acres, were reportedly being developed by individuals such as Manoj Pal, Mohammad Siddiqui, Ramesh Kumar Pal, Lal Bahadur, among others. The operation was overseen by Zonal Officer Ravi Nandan Singh. In a separate initiative, the Zone 3 enforcement team carried out demolitions in the villages of Jaliyamau, Kathingra, Fatehganj, and Nathora in Kakori.
This operation, led by Zonal Officer Devansh Trivedi, focused on eight illegal plots, covering an area of about 31.25 acres. Trivedi stated that the authority will persist in its rigorous enforcement against unauthorized plotting and construction throughout the city and urged potential buyers to confirm the legal status of land prior to any purchase.
