Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, has declared that the second Hebbal flyover loop in Bengaluru, which connects Esteem Mall to Mekhri Circle, is set to be operational by November.
This Rs 300 crore initiative is designed to alleviate the city’s persistent traffic congestion, with one new loop already inaugurated that links the Outer Ring Road to Bellary Road at a cost of Rs 80 crore.
The new loops have expanded the number of lanes at the Hebbal flyover from two to six, stated Deputy CM Shivakumar, who also mentioned that the BDA Chairman has been assigned the responsibility of completing the outstanding loop by November.
Additionally, the Deputy CM disclosed plans for a new 1.5-km tunnel road from Esteem Mall to Baptist Hospital and confirmed that tenders have been issued for a 16.5-km tunnel road connecting Hebbal to Silk Board, with an estimated budget of Rs 17,000 crore.
