TGRERA halts Shrivari’s Brundavanam project after buyer complaints

The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has suspended the housing project ‘Shrivari’s Brundavanam’ due to multiple complaints from purchasers. This project, which is developed by Shrivari Constructions and represented by P Uma Devi, is situated at Padmashri Hills in the Bandlaguda Jagir municipality within the Gandipet mandal of Rangareddy district. As per the complaints received, the project consists of 80 flats that were developed through a joint venture with landowners based on an equal share agreement.

According to the sale agreements, the expected dates for possession were set for February 2023 and May 2024. Nevertheless, despite significant payments made by buyers, the builder has not completed the construction or delivered the flats as per the agreed timelines. After examining the situation, TGRERA issued interim orders on June 23, placing the project on hold under Section 7(3) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. This order prevents the developer from marketing, advertising, booking, selling, or entering into any agreements for the flats in the project until further instructions are provided. In a related action, TGRERA has also directed the sub-registrar of Gandipet to refrain from processing any sales or registrations of units associated with ‘Shrivari’s Brundavanam’ until further notice. Additionally, the authority has issued a public warning advising against entering into any transactions or agreements related to the project. The situation remains under regulatory review as further hearings are awaited.
