The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) is preparing for yet another land auction in Raidurg Panmaktha (Knowledge City), with an unprecedented upset price of Rs 139 crore per acre. Officials informed that the government anticipates earning approximately Rs 2,000 crore by auctioning around 11 acres.

On Thursday, TGIIC released a notification regarding the auctions. One plot, located in survey no 83/1 and measuring 6.29 acres, is scheduled for auction on May 28, while another plot of 5.09 acres in the same survey number will be auctioned on June 1.

Land auctions conducted in October 2025 had achieved a remarkable Rs 177 crore per acre, resulting in TGIIC receiving Rs 3,135 crore. At that time, the upset price was set at Rs 101 crore per acre. The second auction, which involved a plot of less than one acre, had an upset price of 3.10 lakh per square yard and was ultimately sold for Rs 3.40 lakh per square yard, yielding TGIIC an additional Rs 160 crore.

There is significant demand for the land in Raidurg, as it hosts some of the largest global corporations. Additionally, T-Hub and T-Works are situated in the vicinity. The area’s appeal is further enhanced by its proximity to the Outer Ring Road and the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).

The state government possesses approximately 470 acres of land in Knowledge City and has previously sold around 200 acres in past auctions. Official sources indicated that about 70 acres of land in Raidurg is entangled in legal disputes.
