Solatube International, a leading manufacturer of tubular daylighting systems, announced the launch of the redesigned OptiView® Fresnel Diffuser, bringing the popular daylighting solution back with refined optical performance and a sleek, low-profile design for today’s interiors.
Designed for Solatube’s SolaMaster® and Brighten Up® Series tubular daylighting systems, OptiView Fresnel uses a precision-engineered matrix of Fresnel lenses to distribute natural daylight throughout interior spaces. The result is balanced illumination that supports visual comfort while strengthening occupants’ connection to the outdoors through natural daylight.
“Daylighting design is about more than simply bringing natural light into a building. It’s about how that light is distributed and how people experience it throughout the space,” said Neall Digert, vice president of innovation and market development at Kingspan Light + Air and Solatube International. “The OptiView Fresnel Diffuser gives architects a new way to shape that experience, combining high-quality daylight distribution with a clean architectural aesthetic and a stronger visual connection to the outdoors.”
As architects increasingly prioritize human-centric design, the redesigned OptiView Fresnel reflects Solatube’s broader focus on delivering high-quality daylight that enhances how interior environments look, feel and function. Its combination of balanced daylight distribution, visual comfort and architectural integration makes it particularly well suited for spaces designed around occupant experience and well-being.
Solatube tubular daylighting systems capture natural daylight at the roof and deliver it deep into buildings, extending daylight into interior spaces where conventional windows and skylights may have limited reach. OptiView builds on that capability with concentric Fresnel lenses engineered to distribute daylight evenly while enhancing wall-wash performance for more consistent illumination throughout a space.
The diffuser’s low-profile, flush design creates a clean ceiling appearance that complements modern interiors and maintains visual continuity across the Solatube diffuser family. OptiView Fresnel also integrates with existing Solatube fixture rings and trim assemblies for straightforward installation.
