The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has announced a rebate program for property tax payments made by May 23. An additional incentive will be provided for those who opt for online payments for the fiscal year 2025-26.
VMC has been offering rebates to property owners in the city for several years, promoting timely tax payments without waiting for billing notices. Residents can verify their tax obligations on the municipal website.
The corporation is providing a 10% rebate for residential properties and a 5% rebate for non-residential properties. Furthermore, an extra 1% rebate will be granted for online tax payments, aimed at encouraging digital transactions that directly benefit VMC’s financial accounts.
For those preferring offline payments, they may visit the ward offices with their property census number or an old tax bill. While offline tax collection remains available, the additional 1% rebate will not apply to these transactions.
