Somany Ceramics has reported a growth of 148 per cent in its net consolidated profit during the third quarter of FY21. Its profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 31.09 crore in Q3 FY21 as against Rs 12.52 crore it registered in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, the company said in the BSE filing.
The company’s net consolidated income stood at Rs 495.78 crore in Q3 FY21, a growth of 13 per cent from Rs 439.30 crore it recorded in the similar quarter last year.
“Our plants operated at full capacity on a consistent basis during the quarter. Sanitaryware plant post Diwali continues to operate at full capacity,” the company said in its investors presentation.
As of December 31, 2020, tiles capacity of about 63 million sq meter per annum (including dedicated outsource tie-ups), sanitaryware capacity of 1.15 million pieces per annum (excluding outsource tie-ups) and Bath fittings capacity at 0.65 million pieces per annum (excluding outsource tie ups). Its capacity utilisation in Q3 FY21 was 97%, 57% and 99% in tiles, sanitaryware and faucets respectively.
