Mahindra Logistics adds 4 lakh sq. ft. warehousing space

Mahindra Logistics has bolstered its logistics network in Eastern India by inaugurating two advanced Grade A warehouses in Guwahati and Agartala, which collectively add over four lakh square feet of capacity.

The Guwahati facility now stands as the largest multi-client warehouse in North-East India, while the Agartala unit is strategically located to address the growing demand for integrated logistics solutions.

In line with its ā€˜Go-East’ strategy, Mahindra Logistics has established over one million square feet of multi-client warehousing throughout the region and intends to extend express logistics services to more than 800 pincodes.

This expansion is designed to improve regional connectivity, support various sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, retail, and grocery, and offer comprehensive services that encompass warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, sortation, and delivery.

The initiative is anticipated to stimulate economic growth, create over 2,000 job opportunities, and ensure a workforce that reflects 50 percent local diversity. Additionally, strategic regional infrastructure, including the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, Bharatmala highways, Maitri Setu, and the Agartala–Akhaura rail project, further enhances the potential of this corridor.
