IPSCDL to reopen 3 road stretches in panaji before deadline

Imagine Panaji Smart City Limited (IPSCDL) has announced the opening of three road stretches in central Panaji on Monday and Tuesday. These include the Dada Vaidya road stretch from the Singbal bookstore to the Mahalaxmi temple.

It will be opened for vehicular traffic on Monday at 7pm. Also, the Heliodoro Salgado Road stretch from the Alfran Plaza building to the Orion building will be opened on Tuesday at 7pm. Furthermore, the General Bernardo Guedes road stretch from the Woodland store to the Geeta bakery and to govt printing press will also be open on Tuesday at 7pm.

“The work on critical roads in central Panaji is now completed and ready for public use with effect from Monday and Tuesday, respectively, providing a huge boost to intra-city connectivity under the Smart City infrastructure development initiative. The opening of roads ahead of the committed dateline will ease traffic flow in the city and restore normalcy of vehicular and pedestrian movement,” the IPSCDL said in a statement.

It further said that the “early completion” of these roads aligns with Smart City’s mission to promote sustainable urban development and improve the standard of life in Panaji.
