Bobcat revamps R-Series telehandler range

Telehandlers cover lifting heights ranging from 6 to 18 meters and boasting maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.1 tonnes

Bobcat has unveiled its latest generation R-Series telehandler range, catering to the Middle East and Africa markets. This new lineup offers a diverse choice of 12 models, all powered by Stage IIIA engines.

The telehandlers are designed to meet the demands of various construction tasks, covering lifting heights ranging from 6 to 18 meters and boasting maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.1 tonnes.

The R-Series telehandler range from Bobcat includes three main categories:

Compact Telescopic Loaders:

  • TL26.60
  • TL30.60
  • TL30.70

Middle Range Telehandlers:

  • TL35.70
  • T35.105
  • T35.105L
  • T36.120SL

High Lift Telehandlers:

  • T35.130S
  • T35.130SLP
  • T35.140S
  • T41.140SLP
  • T40.180SLP

Precision and Control at Height

These R-Series telehandlers offer exceptional agility, with a newly configured transmission system that provides enhanced smoothness for executing precise tasks at height. This precision is further facilitated by features such as the Boom Positioning System, an updated ultra-accurate joystick, an inching function, and improved cab visibility.

An improved inching pedal design enhances ease of use and reduces operator fatigue. The inclusion of a higher engine brake shortens stopping distances, contributing to increased safety on construction sites. All models feature standard turtle/rabbit speeds operated directly from the joystick.

Innovative Cab Design for Operator Comfort

The R-Series telehandlers come equipped with a new cab design focused on providing operators with an exceptional experience. The central control panel offers optimised 360° ergonomics, ensuring ease of use. The cab’s high-quality, contemporary interior features distinctive R-Series branding, colors, and textures that reflect Bobcat’s DNA.

The ergonomic design optimizes all surfaces, offering increased space and visibility. The centerpiece is a new 5-inch LCD display that provides interactive and streamlined information, including a feed from the rear camera for enhanced precision during operation.

Simplified Operation for Maximum Efficiency

Bobcat has streamlined the operation of R-Series telehandlers to ensure operators can start working effortlessly. Key features include an all-in-one joystick with improved ergonomics, intuitive automotive-style controls (backlit keypad, jog-shuttle, levers under the steering wheel), an interactive 5-inch LCD display, semi-automatic wheel alignment, automatic transmission, and parking brake.

Robust Design for Maximum Uptime

Uptime is critical in the construction industry, and Bobcat telehandlers are known for their durability. The R-Series models build on this reputation with protective shielding of vital components in key areas, including hydraulic and electrical components, pipes, harnesses, and transmissions. A sturdy steel plate protects the machine’s base, ensuring longevity. All Bobcat telehandlers feature a rigid boom structure and a robust frame with a box-section layout.

Stability and Confidence

The R-Series range is designed to inspire confidence in customers, starting with a low center of gravity and a well-balanced design. The machines incorporate a heavy counterweight and a long wheelbase for stability. The optimized weight distribution allows operators to safely reach high and handle heavy loads.

Under the hood, the well-proven Perkins Stage IIIA engine delivers high power and simplicity with its mechanical injection system. Furthermore, the new engine hood design increases visibility and reduces blind spots by 15% on the right-hand side of the machines, enhancing safety and minimizing accidents.

With the introduction of the R-Series telehandlers, Bobcat continues to prioritize innovation, performance, and operator comfort in the construction equipment industry.
