AMC’s e-auction for a plot in Bodakdev was completed on Friday with the winning bid emerging being Rs 2.22 lakh per square metre, for a total around Rs 77 crore, about Rs 11 crore over the reserve price.
AMC officials said tenders were floated and this one plot had 17 bidders and thus the auction was held on Friday.
For the other 15 AMC plots on the block, there were only 15 bids and the corporation decided to extend the bid period to June 1.
The AMC said that during the bidding for the Bodakdev plot, a total of 158 bids were placed and after about three and a half hours, the winning bid of Rs 2.22 lakh per square metre was made.
