ICI Pune centre successfully conducted CEMCON 21 International Conference on “Advancements in Precast Construction ” two day event at Government College of Engg Pune on 10th and 11th Dec. The conference had 200 delegates and 6 international paper Presenters. There was also an exhibition. CEMCON 2023 Focus is on Repair, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting of Concrete Structures

Indian Concrete Institute, Pune Centre has been successfully conducting, national-level conference – CEMCON for several years based on industry-relevant topics. CEMCON is a flagship event in Western India dedicated to the cause of disseminating knowledge. The event completed the Silver Jubilee in December 2020. The conference is entering into the era of Golden jubilee with a focus on the Advancements in Precast Technology.
CEMCON 2021
CEMCON 2021 was organised at a time when there is a staggering demand for affordable housing in India. The government has already set an ambitious project to build 20 million affordable houses and 98 smart cities by 2022. India is also going through rapid urbanisation which cannot be met through conventional construction and hence the adoption of modernisation is the way forward. There is a demand for technology that enables the quality fast construction of buildings in a short period. This year’s topic is on the Advancements in Precast Technology.
Adaptation of precast technology can provide an improvised quality of construction while using minimum resources like time, cost, manpower, materials, etc. The application of precast concrete construction technology is constantly providing efficient and improvised quality. However, in-demand, there are various aspects of precast technology that need more attention. The benefits of using precast concrete technology are not being utilized completely due to the lack of information on methods and techniques available in the Indian market.
