Ceigall Northern Ayondhya Bypass Limited, a subsidiary of the construction company Ceigall India, has obtained a project from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to construct a 35.4-km northern bypass in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
The project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) as part of Phase V-II of the National Highways Development Project (NHDP), with an estimated budget of ₹1,199.30 crore. The four-to-six lane bypass is designed to alleviate traffic congestion around the temple town and improve regional connectivity.
Construction is set to commence on July 9, 2025. “Regarding maintenance, appropriate measures will be implemented to ensure traffic safety and reliability at all times, in accordance with the concession agreement,” NHAI stated in a release on Tuesday.
