StarBigBloc Building Material acquires 57,500 sq meters land in Indore

StarBigBloc Building Material, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BigBloc Construction, has acquired land for setting up a green field facility for AAC Blocks in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The company has purchased approximately 57,500 sq meters land in Khargone for a total consideration of Rs 6 crore.

It currently operates one plant at Kheda near Ahmedabad with an installed capacity of 250,000 cubic meters per annum. The capacity utilisation of the plant for the third quarter was at 75%.

Narayan Saboo, chairman, Bigbloc Construction said, “The proposed expansion in Indore, Madhya Pradesh aligns with our growth strategy, focusing on geographic expansion, R&D investments, product diversification, and strategic branding and marketing initiatives to enhance visibility, increase market share, and strengthen stakeholder trust.”In May 2024, the board of directors had approved fund-raising through SME IPO or preferential issue to support expansion plans of Starbigboc Building Material.

The company aims to expand its production capacity from current 250,000 cubic meters per annum to over 1.2 million cubic meters per annum in the next 4-5 years.

BigBloc Construction is targeting revenue of Rs 428 crore by FY27-28, with an expected EBITDA of Rs 125 crore and net profit of Rs 80 crore. In FY24, the company had reported revenue of Rs 94.18 crore.
