Shree Cement, Berger Paints close factories due to Covid-19

Berger Paints has also closed all its factories and most of the businesses till the end of the lockdown, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Shree Cement has temporarily closed all its production facilities and offices across India till April 14, 2020 due to the nationwide lockdown announced by the government, the company said in a BSE filing.

Similarly, Berger Paints has also closed all its factories and most of the businesses till the end of the lockdown, the company said in a regualtory filing.

“In accordance with the advisories issued by the central government and the state governments and in order to ensure health of all stakeholders in view of the COVID 19 pandemic, the company has closed all its factories and most of the businesses till the end of the lockdown,” it said.

Aniruddha Sen, senior vice president and company secetary said that they are taking steps to maintain essential services such as security, safety and IT services. The employees have been advised to work from home, to the extent possible.
