The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has garnered nearly 800 applications for 465 industrial plots, which are distributed over approximately 294 acres, with an estimated worth of around Rs 550 crore.
These plots are available through RIICO’s direct allotment scheme, specifically designed for MoU holders from the Rising Rajasthan investment summit. Corporation officials indicated that the largest number of applications (267) was submitted for the Kankani Industrial Area in Jodhpur.
In an effort to enhance occupancy in underutilized industrial zones, RIICO has made partial amendments to its flexible land lease and rental policy. Under the updated provision, industrial plots in regions where less than 25% allotment was achieved after two attempts will now be available at 60% of the current rate or the reserve price, whichever is greater.
In the ninth phase, 25 applications were submitted for 22 plots offered at the reduced 60% rate, with the Ajaymeru Palra Extension in Ajmer attracting the most interest. In the current 10th phase, applications for these underutilized industrial areas have surged to 113.
