Mahindra Construction Equipment has expanded its road-building machinery portfolio with the introduction of the all-new Compax mini compactor at EXCON 2025 in Bengaluru. This compact machine is engineered specifically for modern road construction requirements, reflecting Mahindra’s commitment to developing India-engineered solutions that enhance efficiency, durability, and productivity on construction sites. The Compax mini compactor represents the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the compact equipment segment, providing contractors with a versatile and reliable machine suited for various road and infrastructure projects.

The Compax is powered by Mahindra’s 2.0-litre, three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 25bhp and 125Nm of torque. This engine is widely recognized across the industry for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and ability to deliver consistent performance under demanding conditions. The machine also features dual-frequency vibration modes of 55Hz and 65Hz, allowing operators to adjust the compactor’s performance based on soil type, worksite conditions, and compaction requirements. Additionally, the Compax is equipped with a 720mm drum and a durable single-piece oscillation shaft, emphasizing longevity and dependable performance even in challenging construction environments.

Mahindra has developed the Compax under its “Made in India, Made for the World” philosophy, which focuses on creating solutions that meet global standards while addressing local operational challenges. Operator comfort is a central feature of the design, with the Compax including a ROPS-certified canopy, ergonomic control layout, lockable storage, and simplified maintenance access. These design choices are aimed at minimizing downtime, increasing usability, and ensuring that operators can work efficiently and safely on demanding projects.

Unveiling the new machine, Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Mahindra Truck, Bus, and Construction Equipment, emphasized that the Compax carries forward Mahindra’s focus on technology-driven solutions, low operating costs, and high profitability for customers. He highlighted the company’s deep understanding of Indian infrastructure challenges, which allows Mahindra to develop equipment that effectively addresses the unique needs of domestic construction sites while remaining competitive in global markets.

At EXCON 2025, Mahindra also showcased its upgraded CEV-V range, which is designed to deliver higher productivity, enhanced operator comfort, and better earnings potential for contractors. The company’s broader portfolio includes the RoadMaster motor grader, which commands over 18% market share, and the EarthMaster backhoe loader, known for its high torque, fuel efficiency, and operational reliability.

In addition to its product lineup, Mahindra has been expanding its aftersales network across India. The network now includes 136+ touchpoints, including 3S dealerships, Saathi+ authorized service centers, sales outlets, and spare parts retailers, as well as 50+ mobile service units, ensuring comprehensive support for customers nationwide. Furthermore, Mahindra is actively growing its global presence, with distribution networks operational in over 20 countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
