JSW Cement has inaugurated its greenfield integrated cement plant in Nagaur, Rajasthan, signifying its entry into the northern Indian market and elevating its total grinding capacity to 24.1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
This facility boasts a clinkerisation capacity of 3.3 MTPA and a cement grinding capacity of 2.5 MTPA. Consequently, the company’s overall clinker manufacturing capacity has risen to 9.74 MTPA, which includes the capacity from its joint venture. Currently, an additional grinding unit with a capacity of one MTPA is under construction at the Nagaur site.
The plant is designed to meet the demand from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and the National Capital Region. The project has been financed through a combination of equity and long-term debt, with approximately ₹800 crore sourced from IPO proceeds allocated for part-financing the unit. The company has set a goal to increase its total capacity to 41.85 MTPA by FY29.
