The Haryana Urban Local Bodies (ULB) department on Tuesday launched a portal for property verification.
Haryana ULB minister Kamal Gupta formally launched the portal from his office here. The portal will not only enable residents to have access to their property details, but will also enable them to apply for corrections.
The portal – will be open for filing requests for corrections till May 15. Once the required documents and formalities are completed, the corrections will be effected, said the officials.
Notably, the portal has given a breather to thousands of owners of residential, commercial, institutional and industrial properties located in 88 civic bodies across the state.
There had been complaints of highhandedness and non-cooperative attitude of dealing hands in the offices of civic bodies. As a result, the residents had not been able to transfer, lien or dispose of their properties.
The issue has often been raised by the opposition parties to corner the BJP-JJP government. During the assembly session, even the MLAs from the ruling alliance had also raised the issue.
