The Minister of Roads & Buildings, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, inaugurated the foundation stone for a road project valued at Rs 50 crore within the boundaries of Nalgonda Municipal. This initiative entails the construction of a four-lane road, which will feature a central median and lighting, extending from Nagarjunasagar āXā Roads to the Darveshipuram Yellamma Temple along the Mahbubnagar-Nalgonda route.
The construction is expected to commence within a week. The Minister remarked, “Given that Darveshipuram has become a hotspot for accidents, a CC road, central lighting, and a central median have already been established there at an expense of Rs 12 crore,” he noted. This project is designed to enhance safety and improve traffic conditions in the area.
Furthermore, the Minister indicated that various internal roads, such as the KothapalliāMusumpalli segment, along with the rural road network and drainage systems, are undergoing upgrades. An allocation of Rs. 450 crore has also been designated for canal lining under the AMRP to bolster irrigation infrastructure.
The Minister further emphasized that significant arterial roads in Nalgonda town have been enhanced with medians and lighting, and work on the bypass road is currently underway to facilitate smoother traffic flow.
