Chennai-Nellai Vande Bharat special train to clear Diwali rush

Southern Railway will run an additional Vande Bharat service between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli on November 9 and other special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling to their native places in view of Diwali.

Southern Railway will run an additional Vande Bharat service between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli on November 9 and other special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling to their native places in view of Diwali.This train would originate from Chennai Egmore and return to Egmore on the same day.

This is in addition to the regular Vande Bharat Express running between Tirunelveli and Chennai Egmore.Train No. 06067 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli special will leave Chennai Egmore at 6am on November 9 and reach Tirunelveli at 2.15pm. Train No. 06068 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore special will leave Tirunelveli at 3pm and reach Chennai Egmore at 11.15pm.

These trains will stop at Tambaram, Villupuram, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai and Virudhunagar.

Tambaram – Nagercoil superfast festival special fare special will leave Tambaram at 7.30pm on November 10, 17, and 24, and reach Nagercoil at 7.10am the next day.

The train will stop at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, and Valliyur.

Tirunelveli – Chennai festival special fare special will leave Tirunelveli at 6.45pm on November 9, 16, 23 and reach Chennai at 8.35am the next day. In return, Chennai – Tirunelveli festival special will leave Chennai at 3pm on November 10, 17, and 24 and reach Tirunelveli at 7.10am the next day. The train will be operated via Mayiladuthurai, Pattukottai, Aranthangi, a release said.
