Brigade Hotel Ventures (BHVL) intends to invest approximately Rs 1,000 crore in Karnataka over the next five years to broaden its hospitality presence, with an emphasis on experiential tourism and premium travel sectors.

This announcement aligns with the 10th anniversary of Grand Mercure Mysuru, the company’s flagship hotel that has significantly contributed to the establishment of luxury leisure hospitality in Tier-II cities. The investment will facilitate the development of new hotels and the modernization of existing properties throughout the state.

As part of its comprehensive “Vision 2031” strategy, BHVL also aims to introduce nearly 1,700 room keys in the next five years, with a total anticipated capital expenditure of Rs 3,600 crore. Company officials noted that Mysuru has transformed from a weekend getaway into a prominent business and heritage center, providing the operational and financial assurance necessary for broader expansion throughout Karnataka and South India.

Since its inception in 2016, the 146-key Grand Mercure Mysuru has emerged as a key hospitality destination during the city’s Dasara festivities and serves as a standard for upscale tourism in developing urban markets. BHVL stated that its growth strategy will continue to emphasize sustainability, community integration, and wellness-oriented travel experiences, while capitalizing on the increasing influx of domestic and international tourists to Mysuru and Karnataka.
