Illegal colonies situated outside municipal areas in the city can now apply for regularisation by January 18 under the Haryana Management of Civic Amenities and Infrastructure Deficient Areas Outside Municipal Areas (Special Provisions) Act 2021, deputy commissionerĀ Nishant Kumar YadavĀ said on Tuesday.
The application can be made by the developer or the residentsā association.
While 38 applications for regularisation have been received so far by the District Level Scrutiny Committee (DLSC) constituted for the purpose, the deputy commissioner also said that colonies which donāt apply for regularisation by January 18 will have to face demolition.
Yadav, who is also the chairman of the DLSC, said, āOut of the 38 applications received, 19 were presented before the DLSC and sent to the government for necessary actions, while the others are required to provide more documents to fulfill the requirements or conditions.ā
Fo regularisation, the government has divided the illegal colonies in four categories ā category A for colonies with a built-up area of up to 25%, category B for the ones with an area between 25% and 50%, category C for colonies with an area from 50% to 75% and category D for the ones with built-up area over 75%.
Providing details of the categories, the newly appointed DTP (E) Manish Yadav said on Tuesday that in case of category A colonies, all unbuilt plots will be subject to widening of roads, space for parks, water works and community building.
āAt least 35% of the area will be kept for roads, parks and other public spaces and no roads will be less than 9 metres wide. The commercial component should be limited to 4% and for colonies with 20 acres and more area should have 500 square metres of land for community building,ā the DTP said.
