Andhra Pradesh’s Roads & Buildings Minister, BC Janardhan Reddy, has declared that a sum of Rs 1,430 crore is necessary for the reconstruction of 352 bridges throughout the state, in response to concerns expressed by several MLAs in the Assembly.
The funding for this reconstruction is intended to be sourced from the 16th Finance Commission. The Minister noted that the current NDA government has acted promptly, allocating Rs 1,080 crore for pothole repairs soon after taking office.
The reconstruction of these bridges is a significant infrastructure priority, aimed at enhancing connectivity and safety for the residents of the state. The government’s emphasis on repairing and rebuilding essential infrastructure demonstrates its dedication to resolving long-standing issues and promoting accelerated development.
