Justice Rajan Gupta (Retd), a former judge of the high court, has been appointed as the chairman of Haryana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (HREAT).
Justice Gupta retired as a judge of the Patna high court. Before his transfer to Patna, Justice Gupta also served as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana high court.
A formal notification of his appointment was issued on Friday by the Haryana government. “In exercise of powers conferred by sub section (2) of section 46 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016, the Governor of Haryana is pleased to appoint Justice Rajan Gupta as chairman of the Haryana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal, Karnal, with immediate effect,” it said.
