Chennai Metro Rail has extended evening peak hour services till 10pm on November 9 to 10 to facilitate the journey of people leaving for their hometowns ahead of Diwali.
Evening peak hour services are normally operated from 5pm to 8pm. It operates trains in every six minutes during peak hours. Trains run every nine minutes during non-peak hours after 8pm.
“Passengers are requested to utilise the metro train services to avoid traffic congestion and for a hassle-free journey,” a CMRL release said.
