Chandigarh housing board to auction 167 properties

The bidding process will start on November 25. The closing date for bid submission is December 20 and bids will be opened on December 20.

As many as 167 built-up properties of the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) are up for grabs.

The bidding process will start on November 25. The closing date for bid submission is December 20 and bids will be opened on December 20.

In the e-auction, the CHB is offering 74 residential properties on freehold basis, 92 commercial properties on leasehold basis and one commercial property on freehold basis.

As many as 14 residential units are located in Sector 51 A, 21 are in Sector 63, five in Sector 49, six in Sector 38W, eight in Sector 26E, one in Sector 52, three in Manimajra and 17 in Indira Colony. Categories of dwelling unit on offer include 2 bedroom, 3-bedroom, EWS, and category IV dwelling units. The reserve price ranges from Rs 24 lakh for a EWS unit in Sector 52 to Rs 1.12 crore for a three-bedroom dwelling unit in Sector 63.

One freehold booth site in Sector 51-A is available at a reserve price of Rs 85 lakh.

The 59 leasehold commercial properties are located in Manimajra, four in Sector 38W, 10 in Sector 40A, and 18 in Kajheri. These include shops, bay shops, restaurant site and booths. The reserve price ranges from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 3 crore.

The e-auction is open for all the citizens of India as well as NRIs/PIOs above 18 years of age.
