A thorough cleaning can help your keypad last long. To avoid debris and oil, you can regularly clean the keypad from the outside using rubbing alcohol or an alcohol-based cleaning solution. Also, remove the dirt and grime in between the buttons.

If you use a remote control, wiping the outside portion with a cleaner is advised. Then, open up the remote and remove debris and dust using a soft brush, even before removing the pad from the remote. Before replacing the pad again, clean the inner area beside the keys. Finally, replace the garage remote.

  ·   Keypad replacement 

Replacing the whole keypad is the best way to reset the garage door keypad without any code. Although a casing is provided to protect the keypad, it’s still vulnerable to damage and harsh elements. At times, it’s always the best option to replace it entirely.
