The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to develop a new city near the upcoming Noida International Airport. This initiative involves the acquisition of approximately 6,065 hectares of agricultural land from 40 villages in the region, addressing the growing demand for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.

YEIDA officials have detailed the land acquisition process, which will involve villages such as Tappal-Bajna (771 hectares), Karauli Bangar (250 hectares), Muradgarhi (336 hectares), Rabupura (994 hectares), Tirthali (479 hectares), Mayana (252 hectares), Kallupura (218 hectares), and Mudrah (290 hectares), among others. The land acquisition is slated to take place over the next two years, with a budget allocation of Rs 14,000 crore specifically for this purpose.

The total estimated expenditure for developing urban infrastructure in the new city is projected to be over Rs 63,000 crore. This investment aims to establish a robust framework supporting various sectors, ensuring sustainable growth and development in the region surrounding the Noida International Airport.
