The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has increased the validity period of registration of real estate agents to 10 years from current 5 years.
Registered real estate agents in UP have been issued a “registration certificate” in Form-H prescribed in the UP RERA Rules.
In this, the validity period of registration is five years. In Rule-10(3) of the UP Land Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2016, the period of registration of a real estate agent has been fixed at 10 years.
The registration of real estate agents in UP RERA was started from July 2017 and currently, in 2022 the initial validity period of five years of registration certificates issued has either expired or is about to expire.
In its 99th and 100th meeting, the entire situation was discussed and mode of processing and fee for the validity period of the certificate issued in Form-I of the real estate agents has been changed for real estate agents.
As per new regulation, in case of a single real estate agent, the processing fee will be Rs 1000 and in cases other than single or individual, the prescribed processing fee would be Rs Rs.5000.
