Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) is going to auction industrial plots and commercial sites in different focal points across the state soon.
Industry and commerce minister Sunder Sham Arora said the acution will be advertised in the second week of October covering industrial plots of various sizes in the focal points of Abohar, Amritsar, Batala, Goindwal Sahib, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Mohali, Nawanshahar and Pathankot.
The minister added that considering the demand of entrepreneurs and inhabitants of the respective areas, commercial sites of varying sizes in the first phase will also be put up for sale in the industrial focal points covering Amritsar, Mohali, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar. Commercial sites at Derabassi, Chanalon, Nangal and Khanna focal points will be auctioned in the second phase.
PSIEC chairman Gurpreet Singh Bassi said the corporation will soon be auctioning key commercial chunk of land located in phase IX of Mohali — in the vicinity of airport road — which is expected to attract more world class brands to the state.
Additional chief secretary of industries and commerce department Vini Mahajan said the PSIEC has also planned the disposal of available residential plots developed in the different focal points covering Amritsar, Chanalon, Patiala, Bathinda, Goindwal Sahib, Ludhiana, Nangal, Pathankot, Malout and Tanda.
Modalities for sale of residential properties are being finalized. PSIEC will also auction petrol pump sites planned in focal points in different parts of Punjab in the near future.
