The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a call for bids for the development of a six-lane elevated corridor in the flood-affected area of Kolhapur, specifically on the Kagal-Satara section.

This project entails the construction of a six-lane elevated corridor that will extend from km 612.582 to km 617.540, which includes a flyover leading to Kolhapur City on NH-48. The anticipated duration for the completion of the contract is three years, followed by a maintenance phase lasting 10 years.

The flood-affected area of Kolhapur has been descoped from the original Kagal-Satara Package 1, particularly concerning the construction of the second-level ramp between km 0.000 and km 1.263.

The contract will be carried out under the EPC mode, with the deadline for bid submission set for 18 December 2025.
