Telangana IT and Industry Minister K T Rama Rao urged construction equipment companies to invest in the state.
Confederation of Indian Industry-Telangana & Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA) jointly organized a Virtual Session on Opportunities in Infrastructure Sector in Telangana State.
While addressing the session, Mr Rama Rao, said that the construction & infrastructure sector is the second largest employment provider in the country and is expected to grow in an exponential way in the future.
Telangana government has very positive & progressive policies and excess power capacity, he invited construction equipment companies to invest in 500 acres allocated Construction Equipment park in National Investment & Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad.
He also said that not only on ease of doing business but also in cost & quality of doing business our State is in the top position. He mentioned that Cost of Living and land rates are still cheaper in Hyderabad when compared to Bengaluru or Pune and hence industries can think of shifting to Telangana.
He also said that the State Government is committed to creating World-class infrastructure in the state and construction sector will play a big role in this growth. He also said that we are the first state to call migrant workers as Guest Workers and they are always partners in State’s development.
He also requested ICEMA to consider organizing EXCON in Hyderabad. The state is willing and committed to build an Eco System to be a global player for Construction Equipment as done for Pharma and Defence sector. He also urged CII & ICEMA to promote innovation among the students and by organizing Challenges through which Industry’s issues could find solutions for the problems.
