Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has at last submitted the detailed architectural plan of the city’s costliest general housing scheme coming up at the IT Park, for the forest department’s clearance, necessary because the project site is near the Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary.
The project site fall in Zone-II of the Sukhna sanctuary and the CHB has a high chance of getting the forest and wildlife department’s approval since the blueprint suggests that the developers intend to maintain the green, open spaces. An official said: “The project site is exactly 1.57 kilometers from the sanctuary, so it comes in Zone-II and not Zone-I, which is half-a-kilometre radius of the reserve.
The planners have kept the environmental and wildlife issues in mind while preparing the architectural drawing, so we are hopeful of getting the wildlife clearance.”
Since, this is also going to be the costliest general housing scheme for the public, it will have flats of two, three, and four bedrooms. Even though, the UT administration is yet to put a price tag on the flats, sources related to the project confirmed that the cost might start from more than Rs 1 crore and go upto more than Rs 2 crore, based on the size of the apartment.”
Sources confirmed: “The areas of the flats have been marked already. The tentative carpet area is 976.34 square feet for 2-BHK, 1419.32 sqft for 3 BHK, and 2075.69 sqft for 4 BHK. Moreover, both 3- and 4-BHK flats will have servant’s quarters. The scheme will have 728 flats (28 of 4 BHK, 448 of 3 BHK, and 252 of 2 BHK). The entire project will cover 16.6 acres.”
Gardens and green spaces are incorporated in the design, so that it not only creates greenery but also looks attractive to the buyers who search for green lifestyle. The green spaces are shown in different parts of the plan.
