Bengaluru’s long-anticipated Hosakerehalli flyover, located near PES University, is finally scheduled to open this November after a delay of 60 months, which will significantly alleviate traffic congestion on the Outer Ring Road (ORR).
Originally assigned a 15-month deadline for completion, the construction of the flyover encountered numerous obstacles, resulting in severe traffic congestion in the vicinity.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) faced public backlash due to the delay, prompting the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to issue a 15-day ultimatum for its completion.
Once it becomes operational, it is anticipated to ease bottlenecks at the PES College Junction. In another development, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has announced that the delayed Ejipura Flyover project, which commenced prior to 2019 and was halted midway, is expected to be completed by June 2026.
