Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated a road project worth Rs 55 crore under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) in Udham Singh Nagar district on 25 September 2025.
The 20-kilometre Manunagar-Gadarpur-Dineshpur-Matkota-Haldwani motor road will undergo widening and strengthening as part of the development initiative. CM Dhami stressed that this project will facilitate local travel and alleviate traffic congestion by transforming the road into a double-lane route.
He mentioned that approximately two lakh residents and farmers from the Terai region will benefit directly from the improved connectivity. The project is anticipated to significantly reduce both the cost and time associated with transporting raw materials, thereby promoting industrial growth in the region.
The Chief Minister pointed out that this initiative aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for accelerated infrastructure development and prosperity. He reaffirmed the state’s dedication to prioritizing road connectivity and infrastructure enhancements to foster economic development and enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
