Surie Polex marble floor abrasives
Surie Polex marble floor abrasive comes in different grit sizes, in which a smaller grit indicates a rougher cutting abrasive, i.e., 16, 24, 36 or 000M, 00M, 0M,1M etc. and the bigger grits indicate the smoothness or polishing that can be obtained by the abrasive, like 800, 1000, 1200, 2000, or 3,4,5 etc.
These marble abrasives can be in different shapes depending on the machine in which they are installed. The most commonly used shapes are FF (Frankfurt), CRB (chamfering), CS (Casani) etc. For the polishing of marble, different bonds of abrasives are recommended, like magnesite, synthetic, resin bond and 5 extra.

The 5x abrasive is used for giving the final high gloss polish to marble. It is an oxalic acid based abrasive that reacts with calcium carbonate on the top layer of marble to form a transparent, high gloss layer. These abrasives maintain the natural colour and high gloss of stone. It is used after synthetic bond 5 or equivalent abrasives. It comes in different shapes that can be fixed in any type of machine. It is available in 5x, 7x and 10x names.

The 6M or cleaner abrasive, is used for cleaning the fine marks of the 5X abrasive and increases the gloss and enhances the colour, it is also known as a buffing abrasive for marble.
