Divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob on Tuesday directed the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) to create a single-window system to address the queries of all eligible applicants of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
She said this during the civil facilitation day organised at the LDA office in Gomtinagar.
While hearing the plea of citizens regarding the difficulties faced in getting the required information and subsequently applying for the benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jacob, who is also LDA chairman, directed the officials to ensure that the system is created where eligible applicants get all information about the housing scheme.
During the day, a total of 104 complaints were received. While 23 cases were resolved on the spot, directions were issued to the concerned departments to address the others in a time-bound manner.
The DC also gave a show-cause notice to an executive engineer of the public works department for being absent on the day.
