Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on May 2 to recommence the construction of the greenfield capital city, Amaravati, as announced by the state’s Chief Secretary, K Vijayanand, on Wednesday.

Vijayanand conducted a review of the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit at the Secretariat. “The Prime Minister will arrive on May 2 to restart the construction works in Amaravati, and all necessary arrangements are being put in place,” the Chief Secretary stated in an official announcement.

In preparation for the Prime Minister’s visit, the state has established a ministerial sub-committee tasked with overseeing the arrangements. This sub-committee comprises Ministers P Keshav, K Ravindra, Satya Kumar Yadav, N Manohar, and P Narayana.
