NHPC invites bids for Rs 1,200 MW solar plant in UP

NHPC has issued a call for bids to select developers for the establishment of solar power plants with a total capacity of 1,200 MW at the Jalaun Solar Power Park located in Uttar Pradesh. The project will be executed in four units, each with a capacity of 300 MW, through a competitive bidding process based on tariffs.

The scheduled commencement of supply date (SCSD) for the solar plants is established at 18 months from the effective date of the power purchase agreements (PPAs). The project scope encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar facilities, along with operations that adhere to contractual and regulatory standards.

Upon commissioning, the park is anticipated to provide green energy to the grid, enhance energy security, and generate economic opportunities in the Jalaun district through local job creation and infrastructure development. The deadline for bid submission is set for 08 September, 2025.
