Australian construction firm Multiplex has been selected by developer Iris Residential to deliver the A$100m (£56m) Amara City Gardens in Booragoon, Western Australia (WA).
Construction of the Amara City Gardens development, which is claimed to be WA’s first large-scale retail living project, is scheduled to commence before the end of the year.
The Amara City Gardens is planned to be built on Davy Street near the corner of Marmion Street, and 250m from Wireless Hill Park.
Iris Residential chief operating officer Tanya Trevisan said: “This project marks a new partnership between Iris Residential and Multiplex – two very strong property operators, both with our roots in Western Australia.

Adjoining the Garden City Shopping Centre, the development will comprise 124 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in addition to a range of premium resident facilities and amenities.
Additionally, the development will include five commercial tenancies and is located within walking distance of the Booragoon Bus Station and fitness and leisure facilities. It is also in close proximity to key schools, universities and health facilities, the construction firm said.

Majority of the apartments at the Amara City Gardens will feature generous balconies, two bathrooms, two car bays and large kitchens while those above level 7 will offer panoramic river views, and those above level 4 offer city skyline views.
Other private amenities at Amara City Gardens include a gymnasium and sauna, community garden, yoga and Tai Chi deck, sunset terrace and BBQ, wine storage cool room and wine tasting area, and residents’ lounge, dining room and caterer’s kitchen.
