The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has commenced the land registration process for the Indore-Pithampur economic corridor, a significant initiative designed to enhance industrial and urban growth in the area.

The initial registration was finalized during Navratri, with two landowners from Bhainslay village registering 5.58 hectares of land in return for over two hectares of developed plots. The corridor, which is planned to span 1,331 hectares, will feature commercial, residential, industrial, and public semi-public plots across 17 villages, including Cordiabardi, Nainod, Rinjalay, Sindoda, and Tihi.

MPIDC Indore Executive Director Himanshu Prajapati highlighted the participatory model that guarantees equity and shared prosperity, asserting that the project will empower local landowners and foster industrial and community development.

Officials regard the launch of the registry as a pivotal achievement in transforming the corridor into a center of industry and contemporary infrastructure. Earlier in March, the Cabinet revised land acquisition regulations, allocating 60 percent of developed land to the original landowners.
