Madhya Pradesh CM hands over 426 houses under flood relief scheme

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that the state’s economy would be self-sustaining, and that villages would see a revival in their rural infrastructure.In 40 villages in Budhni tehsil from village Somalwada, Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated 426 houses as part of the Mukhyamantri Flood Relief Housing program, and carried out a virtual grih sweep of the beneficiaries.Ramakant Bhargava, a local BJP MP, was also present on the occasion.According to Chief Minister Chouhan, financial assistance from banks would be complemented by mentoring for women self-help organizations to link the products of villages.Chief Minister Chouhan directed the district collector to arrange loans and training from banks for women self-help groups in villages, including Somalwada.Last year, chief minister Chouhan reported that the floods in Budhni affected about 40 villages.

According to him, 626 houses were established in these villages under the Mukhyamantri Flood Relief Housing program, out of which more than 400 were completed, and the grih pravesh of beneficiaries was carried out.On the demand of villagers, Chief Minister Chouhan also announced the construction of a mini anganwadi and a school building in Somalwada, as well as the construction of a road connecting six villages from Nandmer to Somalwada, which would include a bridge.450 of the 626 approved homes have been completed and 176 are currently being constructed
