The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to launch the e-auction process for Phase II of its Diwali Housing Special Scheme on Thursday. DDA will offer 707 houses, including seven penthouses in Dwarka Sector 19B, under this scheme.
While the registration and submission of the earnest money deposit (EMD) will start at 11am, the last date of the online registration and the submission of online EMD is Jan 29, said an official.
The final submission date of applications will be Jan 31 and the e-auction will take place on Feb 5.
EMD is the booking amount deposited by all applicants when they apply for flats. Besides the penthouses, the inventory incudes 32 super high income group and 476 HIG flats in Dwarka Sector 19B and 192 middle income group (MIG) flats in Dwarka Sector 14. EMD will be Rs 10 lakh for MIG, Rs 15 lakh for HIG and Rs 20 lakh for super HIG flats, and Rs 25 lakh for penthouses.
“Those who were unlucky in phase I can participate in phase II again,” said a DDA official. “The participants will have to first get themselves registered on the e-auction portal, https://dda(dot)etender(dot)sbi/SBI/, and pay Rs 2,500, which is non-adjustable and non-refundable, separately against each flat they wish to bid for,” stated DDA. “To participate in the bidding, prospective bidders are required to make online payment for EMD separately against each flat they wish to bid for, through the e-payment gateway of the e-auction portal,” said the official.
The Phase I e-auction on Jan 5 had witnessed an encouraging response, he added. Out of the 296 flats offered, 274 houses were booked. They included 135 MIG flats in Dwarka Sector 14, 10 MIG flats in Loknayakpuram, 144 super HIG flats in Dwarka Sector 19B and seven penthouses in the same sector. Of them, 124 MIG flats were booked in Dwarka Sector 14, five MIG flats in Loknayakpuram, and 138 super HIGs and all penthouses in Dwarka Sector 19B. “The flats not sold in phase I will be considered in phase II again,” said the official.
In Phase I, against the reserve price of Rs 171.4 crore for 124 MIG flats in Dwarka Sector 14, DDA got Rs 177.7 crore. For seven penthouses, it received Rs 37.1 crore against the reserve price of Rs 35 crore.
“We are expecting a similar response in phase II, too, considering all these flats are at prime locations and DDA has constructed them with various facilities for recreation,” said the official.
DDA had launched the scheme in November, offering 32,000 newly-constructed flats in Dwarka, Loknayakpuram and Narela. Of these, the registration of around 28,000 LIG and EWS flats started on November 24 and the remaining flats on Nov 30.
