The online collection of property tax for the financial year 2026-27 in the Salt Lake and Rajarhat Gopalpur regions of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will commence on Monday. The tax structure applicable to Salt Lake differs from that of Rajarhat Gopalpur.
Residents of Salt Lake, encompassing BMC wards 29 to 41, with the exception of wards 35, 36, and 38, will begin receiving tax demand notices starting from the fourth week of April. Nevertheless, residents have the option to verify their total tax amount by entering their building assessment number in the property tax section of the BMC website, and they can initiate online tax payments beginning Monday.
For the residents of the Rajarhat Gopalpur area, which includes BMC wards 1 to 28, offline tax payments will be available starting April 16, between 11 am and 3 pm, at specified bank branches and BMC tax collection offices.
