Over 110 CHB properties to be up for sale from Aug-end

The highest priced residential property is a two-bedroom dwelling unit in Sector 51 A with a reserve price of Rs 95.34 lakh. There are three 2-BR in Sector 51 A.

The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) will start a fresh round of e-auction of its residential and commercial properties from August-end. The bids will be opened in September-end.

There will be 28 freehold residential properties and 88 leasehold commercial properties on offer.

The highest priced residential property is a two-bedroom dwelling unit in Sector 51 A with a reserve price of Rs 95.34 lakh. There are three 2-BR in Sector 51 A.

There are two EWS units in Sector 38 (West) with a reserve price of Rs 27.08 lakh each, four EWS units in Sector 26 having reserve price of Rs 28.25 lakh each.

Three dwelling units of category-IV in Manimajra having reserve price of Rs 53.36 lakh each will be the second highest priced category of residential units on offer.

There will be 16 dwelling units of category-IV in Indira Colony, Manimajra, having reserve price ranging from Rs 24.89 lakh to Rs 26.01 lakh.

In the auction, the area of the dwelling units will vary from 425.76 sq ft to 1055.7 sq ft. All the dwelling units on offer are old constructions. Oldest units are in Indira Colony, which were constructed in 1992. The newest ones are in Sector 51 A, which were constructed in 2014.

Among commercial properties, 59 are located in Manimajra, 10 in Sector 40 A, and 18 in Kajheri (Sector 61). There is one restaurant site in Manimajra. The commercial properties on offer include booths, bay shops, convenient shops and a restaurant site. The reserve price ranges from Rs 19.48 lakh to Rs 2.77 crore.

In the latest e-auction of its properties, the CHB could sell four properties out of the 120 up for auction.

Four residential units were sold out of the 32 on offer. Not a single commercial property out of 88 total found any takers.

In the auction, the CHB earned Rs 1.98 crore against the total reserve price of Rs 1.88 crore.

In the auction held last month, the CHB sold eight out of 128 properties up for auction. Out of the 40 freehold residential properties, eight were sold while there were no takers for 88 leasehold commercial properties.

In a previous auction, on May 31, out of 35 residential properties, only two could be sold. In an April auction, out of the 38 residential freehold properties, four were sold. In March, the CHB could get bidders for only eight residential properties out of the 44 that were offered for auction.
