AMC seals 290 properties over pending tax dues

The AMC sealed 290 properties for non-payment of property tax on Wednesday.

The tax and revenue department sealed the properties of owners whose property tax dues exceeded Rs 50,000.

The AMC has prepared a list of about 50,000 such properties with dues exceeding Rs 50,000.

The officials recovered Rs 3.41 crore of pending taxes on Wednesday. 78 properties — were sealed in areas like Amraiwadi, Vastral, and GIDC in the East Zone.
